7 UPs  CrossPenny Witnessing
Jon Martindale

How I use the 7 UPs CrossPenny to Witness - Jon Martindale

When I hand the 7 UPs CrossPenny to an individual, I remind them that the "Cross" represents the love of God as found in John 3:16.  "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

I take God at His Word and when I think of eternity I would rather be with God than the alternative; therefore, I believe in Him (Jesus) so that I will have eternal life.  I consider and confess God to be my Source, Creator, Best Friend and Inspiration and  have accepted Jesus as my Saviour, Lord and Master.

Then I let them know that Jesus loved me enough to take on all my sins as well as the sins of others as well as themselves so we could be cleansed by the shedding of His blood and that Jesus died a cruel death; however, on the 3rd Day - God sent the Holy Spirit to breathe into Him the breath of Life and to prove that Death and satan has no power over what God has created.  The only power satan has is the power we give him.  Therefore we must follow Jesus and know that satan has no power over us.

After the resurrection, Jesus breathed on His disciples the power of the Holy Spirit (John 20:21-23), at Pentecost (Acts 2) the Holy Spirit comes. To be baptized in the Holy Spirit, accept Jesus the Christ as your Saviour, Lord and Master (see Romans 10:8-13).  Once you confess with your tongue and believe with your heart, you’ll be amazed at that voice now speaking to you.

Then I let them know that this penny, while the least of the coins minted by the United States Treasury Department still carries the words "In God We Trust" and that as long as we trust in God, satan will never never have power over us.

The Sinners Prayer of Salvation:
Lord Jesus, I confess with my tongue and outloud that I have sinned
against you and against God.  I ask for your forgiveness and ask that
you come into my heart. Be my Saviour, Lord and Master.  Amen.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2):
Lord Jesus, I also ask that the Holy Spirit come into my life, to help
guide and be a Comforter to me in a way to be of glory to the Father,
Son and Holy Spirit.  Amen and Amen.

The Prayer of Purning (John 15):
Lord Jesus you are the vine, make me a branch and prune me to be
what you wish of me.  Help me to bear the fruit of your vineyard and
be your servant in my daily walk with thee.  Amen.
